What this map is
Dust 2 brings the classic desert layout into CSBrowser: narrow doorways, long sightlines, stepped approaches and two levels of tunnels. The map uses imported original geometry, textures, baked lighting and sky rather than an approximate block-built remake. The weapons, characters and team-deathmatch rules are those of CSBrowser, not a recreation of the original game engine.
Lanes, routes, and cover
From the T-side starting area, Long A leads through the long doors toward the open A approach. Short A climbs the catwalk and stairs, while mid links the central doors to the CT-side junction. On the other side, the upper B tunnels connect to B and the lower tunnels return toward mid. Height matters: players directly above or below one another are not necessarily on the same route.

How a round plays here
Choose Play now above to find or create a Dust 2 match, or create a room in the shared lobby and invite friends. Matches support up to eight players, with bots filling open slots. Eliminated players respawn under the existing team-deathmatch rules; kills and the round timer decide the result. The BL team starts on the original T side and GR on the CT side. You can still select Cargo Ship in the lobby; the homepage continues to default to that map.
Notes for your match
- Long A rewards patient crosshair placement. Check the doorway and pit before crossing the open approach; a familiar map does not make exposed ground safe.
- On Short A, clear the stair landing before climbing. The view changes with elevation, and a wall that protects your feet may leave your upper body visible.
- Use mid to rotate between routes, but check the doors before crossing. A route through the lower tunnels is different from the upper B approach.
- Learn the routes with bots, then use a friend room to coordinate angles. Original map collision is used for movement, but weapon handling and damage follow CSBrowser rules.
Dust II was created by David Johnston. The original map and texture assets belong to their respective authors. This browser implementation is not an official Counter-Strike release.
